This is a blog to support the event: Powering A New Future. We will be doing some informal reporting in the weeks leading up to and during the event. It will capture people’s views and perspectives on what’s happening - on video, audio, a camera, and in words.
It is an experiment in social reporting to which you are invited to join in. Share your photos by uploading them in flickr and tagging them with “panf08″. Share your videos by uploading them to YouTube with the same tag.
Let us know, if you have something to say on this blog in English or in Portuguese. You don’t need to be an expert in blogging or reporting - just someone with a story to tell.
More about social reporting
We will be capturing some of the informal conversations before and during the event and making them available online through video, pictures and blog posts as well as making the sessions and presentations available live online.
We are calling that mix of formal and informal communication social reporting - and we
invite you to join in too through sharing photos and videos that you make on phones or cameras.
We hope that the processes of social reporting will also add to everyone’s experience of learning and talking to each other, whether it’s face-to-face or mediated through the computer.
